Religion
The students will be learning about the Holy Trinity over the next two weeks. We will begin our studies with God, the Father and Creator. The students will learn of God's love for them and how this love protects and guides them through life. The students will end the week learning about their names and how their name was chosen. This will transition into our study of Jesus, the Son and teacher.
Everyday Math
Unit 5 continues. The students will be making pyramids using straws and twisty ties. The focus for the week will be around plane and solid shapes. The students should be able to name the shapes and identify characteristics of the shapes. The students will also complete problem solving tasks. Unit 5 review and assessment this week.

Being a Writer
The students will continue to write about characters and focus on how to develop stories around the idea of a character. Tradebooks include Dogzilla, Brave Charolotte and Honk! As the week comes to an end the students will participate in musical story writing.
Social Studies
Continents Unit begins! The students will begin a study of the 7 continents and 5 oceans. The students will learn about the location of each continent, as well as a major landform for each continent. Get ready for a fun and catchy tune sung by your very own!
