Religion
On Monday, the students will complete a Reconciliation Retreat Reflection.  The students will reflect on what they did, what they learned and how they feel about the upcoming sacrament.  On Tuesday, the students will do an examination of conscience.  This activity will be saved and used the week before Reconciliation to help the students determine what they would like to talk to the priest about.  Later in the week, we will celebrate Mass and look at the church and forgiveness. The students will review "The Prodigal Son".
Everyday Math
On Monday, the students will complete a problem-solving task called "The Ten Feet Apartment Building".  The focus of the task will be to identify important information and determine appropriate strategies to use when solving the problem. Unit 4 begins this week so please be sure to check your child's red folder for a new family letter.

Being a Writer
This week the students will "Roll-a-Thanksgiving-Story".  The students will roll a dice four times to determine the characters, setting (when and where) and plot of their story.  Our focus will be to assist the students in drafting a narrative that accurately incorporates all of the listed story elements.  Students will have to create a solution on their own to match the "rolled" problem/plot.  Final drafts may begin end of the week.

Social Studies
We will conclude our election unit this week by looking at laws and freedoms.  It is important for students to recognize the freedoms we have in America, as well as be able to decipher between a law and choice.  There will be a unit assessment.
